Craven Arms is a small town situated in the beautiful surroundings of the South Shropshire Hills.
The Town takes its name from the coaching inn that was built around 1800 to serve the needs of travellers. Craven Arms is easily accessible via the A49 trunk road and the main Manchester to Cardiff railway.
The station is also the junction for the Heart of Wales line.
The town has a population of around 3,000.
The Town Council consists of 11 councillors with the current Chairman being Mr D Mills

Town Council Meetings are usually held on the last Tuesday of the Month at Craven Arms Community Centre commencing at 7.30pm.
At the commencement of each meeting the Town Council allows fifteen minutes for members of the public to address the Council on items included on the agenda.
